SBS - Styrene Butadiene Styrene Block Copolymer
These are either pure / oil-modified block copolymers and are most suitable as performance modifiers in blends with thermoplastics or as a base rubber for adhesive, sealant or coating formulations. It offers excellent impact resistance and low-temperature flexibility. They exhibit good abrasion resistance and good resistance to water absorption and heat aging. SBS are widely used in the footwear industry for shoe-soles, asphalt modification, waterproofing and in the adhesive industries.
